When they saw Him, they worshiped Him; but some doubted. And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying,
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. "Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
In 2nd Timothy 4:6-8 The Apostle Paul said he was "Already being poured out as a drink offering and that the time of his departure had came." Paul considered himself as the libation which was poured on the sacrificial offering. He could not have spoken this positively had not the sentence of death been already passed upon him.
He went on to say the he had "Fought the good fight, finished the race, and had kept the faith." However, the Apostle Paul was not disappointed that his time had come to depart this life, not at all. In fact, he knew that he would soon meet Jesus Christ face to face and that he would receive the righteous crown and reward pomised to all those who faithfully serve and love Him with all their heart, soul, mind, and strength, which Paul certainly did do.
In fact, this is the moment in every Christian's life that they should look forward to the most, and Paul certainly did which was made known to us by the words he spoke next which read, "In the future there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the righteous Judge, will award me on that day; and not only me, but also to all who have loved His appearing." So in 2nd Timothy 4:5 Paul instructs us to do four things just before he departed this world to enter into the eternal glory God prepared before hand for all those who love him.
